Delighted to have composed the score for Derek vs Derek, directed by James Dawson, which had its World Premiere in the International Competition at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival in March 2026.
The film follows two neighbouring farmers in Devon — both called Derek — whose clashing philosophies about land use set them on a collision course. One farms intensively; the other has turned his fields over to rewilding. It’s funny, warm, and surprisingly moving.
Screen Daily called it an “engagingly eccentric crowdpleaser,” and it played to two packed houses in Thessaloniki. The film has been acquired for international sales by Cat&Docs — more news on distribution to follow.
